According to legend, the Xuantian Shandi worshipped at the Zuoying Yuan Di Temple originated from a sacred piece of driftwood found floating off the coast of Zuoying. A fisherman retrieved it and later experienced a miraculous escape from a shipwreck during a typhoon, emerging unscathed. Believing it was the divine protection of Xuantian Shandi, the local residents built a temple to honor the deity and express their gratitude, passing down this moving story of faith.
The temple features magnificent architecture, combining traditional Minnan-style design with exquisite carvings. Inside, the solemn and majestic statue of Xuantian Shandi attracts worshippers and visitors alike.
